Yep! You read correctly, you don’t have to be a rockstar to sing along to a song.
I was driving to work this morning, listening to the local radio station as usual(they play amazing songs), and their topic of discussion was regarding singing! And then I thought, oh, there are soo many benefits of singing, it’s incredibllleee! I bet at this point, Celine Dion’s Incredible popped up in your head and you should be singing:
Incredible oh oh oh ohhh
Incredible oh oh oh ohhh
Let’s make them remember
We were incredible
Oh oh oh ohhh
Did you know that singing is good for your heart? Hell yeah! So come-on sing on! When you sing your brain releases “feel-good” chemicals including endorphins. Who doesn’t love some feel-good hormones floating around their bods’?
Considering that it’s Mandela month, and many of us are trying to honour him while others tend to think that praying is enough. Now lets just go back, and recap, why do we pray? I would think that prayer is a way of reaching God or the higher divinities – for yourself and others in a spiritual way.
To make a difference, you need to go out there, roll-up your sleeves and get down to work. Ever heard of the saying “Be the change you want to see“? Well, if you want to see change, make change, be the change, lead by example. Always remember that if you help one person, just ONE, that’s change. That’s making a difference. And never stop there.
“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
Empowerment is a choice. Empowerment doesn’t chase you down and beg to be part of your journey. You must choose to seek out resources that will allow you to maximize your empowerment.
You are a spirit, you have a soul and you live in a body. Each must be nurtured if they’re going to be and remain strong, even so for your personal, spiritual and business life. This has been said to be a male dominated world and as such women must become empowered to stand in their own power, to step up and play a bigger game. You must be confident in yourself and the gifts that you have to offer to the world. Let’s take it a step further for those of you who may be dealing with fear, when you are confident of God in you it “trumps” fear.
Is women’s empowerment necessary? Yes, if you’re going to have a competitive advantage and differentiate yourself in this world. Whether you’re in the corporate world, a work at home mom, woman entrepreneur, stay at home mom, wife, leader in ministry, single mom, executive, girlfriend etc. make the choice for maximum empowerment today!
I am all for inspiring and sharing my experiences as a young woman in this world.
